One of the masterpices of modern art

Guernica is one of most famous paintings of Picasso, a protest against the barbaric air raid against a Basque village during the Spanish Civil War Picasso took a month in finishing the picture, which was made in black and grey tones to emphasize suffering people, animals, and buildings wrenched by violence and chaos.

Guernica has been the subject of more books than any other work in modern art and it is often described as..."the most important work of art of the twentieth century",

The symbolism he used includes a dying horse, seems to be wounded
and desperate as that somebody didn't let it escape, a woman falling of a building in flames she is thrown of the building because anyway she will die, and an anguished mother with a dead child, this woman represents pain and suffering she requests help but nobody listens their screams

I like a lot in general the paintings of pablo picasso but I chose this painting because it is incredible how he can make us feel the pain and suffering with only images.

Today, this painting is fundamental to Modern Art and anyone who looks at it closely cannot be left feeling indifferent…
