The education in chile is a very important problem, but nobody have the answer for this, in fact I only have critics of it but not the right way to changing it...
we have differents issues affecting education and students and now I'm going to criticize them first of all Chile's public education system is supervised by the Ministry of Education but run by the city hall of each small district.
According to critics, a small City Hall cannot properly oversee and manage public schools . As a result, districts of poor areas deliver poor education for their students, with a low standard and a high number of students per teacher (45 in average), On the other hand , districts which are "well-funded" and manage a less number of students (since parents in those districts can afford private schools), the result of all that is a better education for children of richer areas. For that reason the last year actually on June 2006, a series of violent protests broke up in our country of a group of students in demand for improvements to the education system, their demands included: the abolition of the Organic Constitutional Law on Teaching (LOCE), the end to municipalization of subsidized education, and a quality education for all.
Other critics to the system is the traditional style of education given, it's old fashioned and defective. A great emphasis is given in the memorization of facts, instead promoting critical thinking.
Well now I'm going to talk about my future rol as a teacher ,is very difficult try to imagine me, for example in primary school with a lot of noisy children I would like to teach in highschool or obviously at university that is one of my biggest dream ...
